Do you ever wonder where your food comes from?

A new law will come into effect today making companies label produce and meats with the country it comes from. However processed food don't have to the Obama administration says its a start. I don't know if it will make folks make healthier choices but its interesting, I often pick up a piece of fruit and imagine how the orchard would be. Amazingly America grows so much even in North Carolina where I live I am amazed by what folks grow in their back gardens squash, zucchini, apples, tomatos, spinach, okra, potatoes just to name a few. Check out your local farmers markets for great local and healthy produce and you may be surprised to see what's grown in your neck of the woods! But remember unprocessed foods, with just one or two ingredients are much better for you, like fruits and vegetables, organic meats, lentils and beans and whole grain breads. If you don't know what the ingredient is don't eat it !!!

Black and White Cookie Giveaway

The Black and White Cookie Compan y has kindly agreed to do a giveaway. Black and White cookies are famous in New York City when I was last there I had a few he he, they are so good, like a cookie but a little like a cake, with one half coated in chocolate and one half with white icing. They are perfect with a good cup of coffee and great to share. I love this company as its started by a real Entrepreneur. He saw the gap in the market to ship this tasty cookie around the country and share one of NYC's historical cookies. You Know Your In London When .....

Here are a few pictures of very British things, like lancashire hotpot baby food, Jasmine liked this, egg and soldiers - is 1/2 boiled egg with small slices of toast to dip in it. This is a name of a restaurant in Clapham also Brew- or cup of tea. We had brunch here, bacon sandwiches, eggs, bread and butter pudding and of course tea!!
