On the drive to Joshua tree National park we saw these huge dinosaurs along the side of the road, the wee man was sleeping and we had missed the exit so we kept going. So when we came back to my brother and sister in laws house on the same highway we just had to stop.
These huge dinosaurs were made as a roadside attraction in the 1970's to get folks to stop and it still works today. Almost in what seems like the middle of nowhere in the desert these guys are here waiting for a visit. You can see from the picture of the wee man next to the the T. Rex claw how big they are. The apatosaurus has a gift shop inside of it.
There is also a little museum that is well worth a visit it has a collection of dinosaur models, a sand pit to hunt for stones and even a little dinosaur you can ride on.
